TM domains
« on: November 20, 2005, 02:12:43 PM »

heres a quote from compuXP about the issuses of these domains.

"(PS. As stated in the site Rules and TOS, I am not responsible for any lawsuits or Cease and Desist letters you may recieve. This is a unique concept to most corporations and their response is still unpredictable, depending on their aggresiveness.)"

Well I would just like to say, Im glad I didnt register company names of companies that do sue people all the time *cough*m!cr0s0f7*cough*

Anyway this bit is kind of a suggestion, do you think we should make a list of how much "fines" would be and what kind of emails you would get from a company regarding the ownership of their coporate name as a domain name?

You mean from real companies, as REAL tm issues? Or virtual ones?

The kind of money they would want from you would depend heavily on the use of the domain. For example if your making money (real) from it.

yeah the amount of money they might want from you depends on how much money your making from it, mostly real money, so it wouldnt be possible to make a list really
