How could I
« on: November 27, 2005, 07:13:59 PM »

Well i dont feel like paying money for php and that so i would like to know if its possible to make it so that you only have to change one document so that the same thing across a series of sites changes, but the thing would be on a remote server(on an account that i pay for)this would make it a lot easier for me since i own a ton of food domains and am constantly getting new domains that i would have to update the nav bar for.

Using html the only way I know of would be to use frames or an Iframe.

With an Iframe you could define the size, placement, and set borders/scroll bar to no. This way it would look as if it was coded into the page.

An iFrame is an EXCELLENT idea!

Set its width and height to 100% and there you have it... just the URL won't update and the bookmarks won't work for the iFramed site.

The iframe I think is just for the menu which being in a frame each link would have to have target="_parent" otherwise it would try to open the new page inside of the iframe instead of the entire browser.
